Feng Shui for Kitchen

The Kitchen is one of the most used rooms in the house. It is not wrong to say that Kitchen is the heart of the home, In fact, it is said that the family health and fortune depends on its energy status of the Kitchen.Kitchen can create either good luck or bad luck in a home or encourage or discourage the physical and mental well being, financial prosperity and domestic harmony of the people residing in the house. The kitchen is considered to be more Yang in nature with strong dominance of the Fire element. Kitchen is an area where all the Feng Shui Elements are present like Wood, Water, Metal, Fire and Earth.

The good direction is the direction that auspicious with the fire element. The ideal position for the kitchen is on either the south eastern or the eastern side of a house,Kitchen to the North East and South West is not advisable.

Kitchen on the North is also of balance position this direction is a neutral one.

Your kitchen is the feng shui part of the home that nourishes and sustains life. Feng shui-wise, it is the most important part of your home. The kitchen is also a feng shui symbol of wealth and prosperity, it is best not to have your kitchen in the east which is close to front door or back door. The food needs to be prepared in a harmonious and well-organized kitchen with a balanced flow of Chi.

Also make sure that the Kitchen should not be below a toilet or adjacent to it (toilet kitchen sharing same wall) is also inauspicious & to have kitchen in the center of a home also creates disturbing energy.

As we constantly exchange energy with our surroundings, a good feng shui kitchen leads to a good spirited cook, which, in turn, leads to good energy meals for a happy family which leads to beeter health, harmony, positive & clear thinking. The kitchen should have proper lighting, be airy and spacious, clean, bright and welcoming. Kitchen is not a place to accumulate Clutter.A dirty or cluttered kitchen is bad Feng Shui ensure that your kitchen garbage’s – waste is always covered. Place a bowl with fruits, a vase of flowers, or a living plant on your kitchen table, windowsill, or wherever the layout of your kitchen allows. Feng shui color-wise shades of color yellow is a positive choice for the kitchen. It is advisable not to use Red, Black, Dark blue or Green in the kitchen. Don’t paint kitchens red & maroon. Kitchens have fire in them already; don’t increase the “fire energy” by painting the kitchen red.

It is always advisable to place your gas on the east or south east as wood nourishes fire with leads to positive health of the family & prosperity & well being for all the members of the family. Fire and water fight each other so the placement of the stove and sink should be in such a manner that they are not next to each other or directly opposite each other.
