Vaastu &
Science
Vaastu shastra is not a religion or superstation but solely a
science of directions and its sub directions and its
energies, the basic vaastu principals states that
your home and work place should be completely square
or rectangular to maintain the energy level of each
directions, if your areas of the premises are not
square or rectangular it is considered as missing
area, if any area of your home is affected by the
Wrong placement of toilets, bathrooms, Kitchen Stove
& water Sink, staircase, overhead water tank,
underground water tank, septic tank, slopes, heavy
constrictions, beams, coulombs etc…… results into
creating negative energy by disturbing the
elementary, Planetary & Cosmic benefits.
Vaastu deals with inter related subjects like geography, geology,
geometry, astrology, philosophy, factors influencing
a site such as topography, orientation, surrounding
structures, roads, sun, earth magnetic field etc.
and lays down guidelines for the design and
construction of the building which is scientific
base of vaastu.
The Scientific Explanation: Every creature on Earth
starts it’s activities at sunrise and goes to sleep
after sunset and therefore the Sun assumes a lot of
importance to living things. Because of the
importance of sunlight to humans, the main aim of
Vastu Shastra is to ensure that the inmates of a
house are unknowingly exposed to the useful rays of
sunlight while performing their activities, even if
they are inside the house the whole day. But during
a day, people perform different activities in
different rooms at different times and the Sun’s
position keeps changing from sunrise to sunset. So
to ensure that the inmates get exposed to sunlight
constantly, each room in the Vastu Mandala is
positioned so that it faces the Sun at the time of
the day when it is most likely to be used by them.
At the crack of dawn, the Sun is positioned in the
North-East direction. Then it moves to the East,
South-East, South, West and North-West. In the Vastu
Mandala, the main entrance door is positioned in the
North-East corner to ensure that the early morning
sunlight floods the house. This explains why the
‘prana’ or life-giving energy, is symbolically
believed to enter from the North-East, early in the
morning.
This post was about the Earth’s Energy (Prana) and
it’s effect on living beings and thereby, the design
of buildings in Vastu Shastra.
Vaastu considers the interaction of various forces
of nature involving the
five elements
of earth, water, wind, fire and ether and strives to
maintain balance as these elements influence, guide
and change the living styles of not only human
beings but every living being on earth. Thus they
influence our thoughts, deeds, luck, Mental behavior
and other basics of life.
Vastu principles in our ancient books are built upon solid
foundations of science The entire life in our
Universe is based on the
five elements
namely Fire, Earth, Air, Water and Sky. These
five elements are found everywhere and anywhere.
Even our body is composed of these five elements.
When any of these elements happen to be in excess or
less in our body, it will result into physical or
psychological problems. For example, if Fire element
is more, we will get physical problems like high BP,
insomnia, ulcers and psychological problems like
anger and tensions. When Water element dominates, it
leads to laziness, hallucinations, fickle
mindedness, obesity and indigestion. Vastu is a
science of architecture which is aimed at balancing
these five elements in our built structure to
neutralize.
Vastu Shastra helps us to make our lives better and
will secure from things going wrong.
Vastu Shastra
is the inspiring explanation of your surrounding and
their influence on your life. Vastu literally means
" house" or Dwelling Place and its principles
establish to create a harmony between the five
elements in the environment.
Vastushastra is based on various natural energies,
which are available free cost in atmosphere like:
Solar Energy from Sun, Lunar Energy from Moon, Earth
Energy, Sky Energy, Electric Energy, Magnetic
Energy, Thermal Energy, Wind Energy, Light Energy,
Cosmic Energy
Utilization of such energies gives us pleasure
peace, prosperity and money etc in our life.
Vastu can be used for every room, every house, every
temple, every shop industry, town planning, tour,
cities and even for earth. Vastu can be used for
micro as well as for macro level.
There are three forces in action to create harmony.
Wind, water and fire or, vaayu, jal and Agni. If
these forces are kept in their appropriate places,
then there will be no disturbance. But if water is
put in place of fire and wind in place of water or
in any other combination, the forces will start
acting accordingly and create disharmony and un
peacefulness. |
